They do the job as required.  problem solvedAug 17, 2010Actually, three problems solved: 'hiding' keys at apartment and 'church', and doing so without breaking budget. Locking myself out of apartment (keys inside, no resident manager) is no longer a problem. Opening/closing 'church' now possible by sharing lock-code, rather than uncontrolled distribution of keys. That's two problems solved. The third problem was solving these two problems effectively and inexpensively. Ability to choose/change the combination provides potentially valuable increased access control option. So-called latch-key kids might appreciate this product in lieu of the 'key-on-a-string' approach.  Just didnt work.Jul 29, 2010A lock really only needs to do 2 things, lock, and unlock, mine would unlock ok but would not lock until i hit it against something, which is not easy to do hanging off a door. And yes, I used the switch thats supposed to cause it to lock. I'm sure I just got a defective one, but amazon doesnt allow you to request a replacement only return it, so I think ill try another one this time.
